Hello everyone,

Working from home is an integral part of our evolving work culture, especially for us at CG Viz Studio. As 3D artists, we constantly strive for smooth collaboration and creative synergy, irrespective of our geographical locations. TeamViewer has been a valuable ally in this journey. Today, we will walk you through this fantastic tool and how you can leverage it for optimal remote working experience.

What is TeamViewer?

TeamViewer is a remote access application that enables us to connect to our work systems from anywhere in the world. It provides a secure and reliable connection for remote work and has a host of features that allow for seamless collaboration.

Fine-Tuning Your User Experience: Speed Vs. Quality

TeamViewer empowers users with the ability to fine-tune their remote access experience according to their needs and network conditions. Users have the option to prioritize either connection speed or image quality.

Under the ‘View’ tab, you’ll find two options: ‘Optimize speed’ and ‘Optimize quality.’
Here are the steps to adjust these settings:

  • If your internet connection is stable and strong, you might prefer a high-quality view. In this case, select ‘Optimize quality.’

  • On the other hand, if your connection is less reliable or you’re focusing more on tasks where a high-definition view is not crucial, ‘Optimize speed’ would be a more suitable choice.

Remember, these settings are adjustable and you can switch between them based on your current work requirements and network conditions.

Switching to the Old Interface

The TeamViewer 2023 update came with a revamped interface. However, if you prefer the old layout, follow these steps to switch back:

  • Open TeamViewer and sign in. Click on the gear icon located at the bottom left corner of the application.
