Resume Screening

The resume screening process is an important step in our hiring process that helps us to quickly identify and evaluate the qualifications of potential candidates.

First, we only consider resumes that are submitted via the application form on our website’s careers page. This ensures that all resumes are received in the same format and are easily searchable for our recruiting team. By having a specific application form, we ensure that all the necessary information is gathered for the position, and it also allows for a fair process for all applicants.

Once resumes are received, they will be initially evaluated by a member of our recruiting team to ensure that the candidate meets the minimum qualifications for the position. This includes checking for the required education, work experience, and skills. This step ensures that we are only considering candidates that are qualified for the position and it saves time for both the candidates and the company.

Contacting Candidates

We will only contact candidates who meet the qualifications listed in the job description. Due to the high volume of job applications we receive, it is not possible to update every single candidate on the status of their application. However, we will make every effort to contact all selected candidates in a timely manner.

Candidates will be contacted via WhatsApp or email. We will use this method of communication to verify the information provided in the application form and to schedule the skills assessment test.

We do not call candidates at this stage of the hiring process as we need to have a copy of the full conversation for future reference and for next steps in the hiring process. This is also to ensure that we have accurate records of all communications with candidates.

We understand that the hiring process can be stressful, but we promise to make it as smooth and efficient as possible for all parties involved. We will keep candidates informed of their status at every step and will respond to any questions or concerns they may have.

Skills Assessment

Skills Assessment is an important step in the hiring process at CG Viz Studio. Since most of our positions are work-from-home, the skills assessment also serves as an example of how the candidate will be working from their home office.

For the skills assessment, candidates will need to have TeamViewer installed on their computer and a stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps for a smooth working experience. The assessment will be completed on our office workstation, which the candidate will access via TeamViewer using a provided ID and password. They will not be able to copy any files to their personal computer.

During the assessment, which lasts for one hour, candidates will be given a specific task or project related to the job they are applying for, such as creating 3D models, texturing, lighting, or animation. The test will be evaluated by a team of experts who will assess the candidate’s skills, creativity and attention to detail.

If the candidate needs more time, it can be arranged. This allows the candidates to work at their own pace and showcase their skills to the best of their abilities.

The skills assessment is an important step in the hiring process at CG Viz Studio. It allows us to evaluate the candidate’s abilities and ensure they have the necessary qualifications for the job, while also providing a demonstration of how the candidate will work from home.

Reference Check

After the candidate has passed the skills assessment test and there are no potential obstacles between the candidate and the company, we will conduct a reference check to verify the candidate’s work experience and qualifications. This typically involves contacting the candidate’s previous employers and supervisors to gather information about their job performance, work ethic, and qualifications. We will also ask about the candidate’s attendance, punctuality, and general attitude in the workplace.

Job Offer

Once a candidate has passed all the steps of the hiring process, including the resume screening, contact verification, skills assessment, reference check, a job offer will be extended to them. The job offer will be presented in writing, usually via email and will include details such as the job title, salary, benefits, start date, and any other relevant information.
